We Hand Churn Our Own Organic Butter Every Day

Slow, lazy day. It rained, though it isn't unpleasant, and i went for a walk. You get pretty wet, but it's not cold, so it isn't bad. Yet! Stayed inside most of the day, working on the bmt symposium i am doing, doing the Leukemia telephone support group, catching up.
i then drove to Sebastopol to meet Kathleen for dinner at a charming french restaurant called "The French Garden." It was very good, and always fun with Kathleen, as we sit and process until my ADD catches up with me and i can't sit any longer! Drove home to Ella. i'm getting better at night, rainy driving, thankfully.
i need to mention the restaurants. Well, the food is always very good, very good. But they are VERY into being "sustainable" (do you really know what that means?) and their wines, going into very long descriptions about the taste and the smells and the flavors, etc. But also everything! i had read about the butter at this place, of all things, and i do love butter, but i thought it was a little over the top when our waitperson announced "we hand churn our own organic butter." Kathleen and i just looked at each other, and said, "it's So Northern California!"
